Digital engagement success for Orbit Communications

Orbit Communication organised and delivered a digital engagement strategy resulting in 255 people watching a live webinar, 1400 unique visitors to a project website in 7 days and 112 downloading more detailed information in 24 hours.

Orbit Communications had suggested the digital engagement process to client British Land as a way of providing more information for their plans to make better use of the green space at Dougalston Golf Course near Milngavie.

Orbit Communications Director, Graeme Downie, said: “British Land asked us to help them differentiate their proposals for the area, so we created a message focussed on the mixed-use characteristics of their proposals to differentiate it from similar residential-only proposals for the area.”

“We recommended a fully digital consultation exercise, even though not required by planning rules, to show a commitment to transparency, delivering a dedicated public website and online public Webinar with Q&A.”

“We have been at the forefront of digital engagement, particularly since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, but these results have been incredible and only possible because of the approach we recommended and were able to deliver.  We are looking forward to working with the client in the next stages of the process.”
