Scottish-based Cullross Living are developing proposals at Western Harbour, Edinburgh. The site is located at Western Harbour, Edinburgh, on the land bounded by Western Harbour Way, Western Harbour Terrace and Western Harbour Drive.
The dedicated build-to-rent platform, which launched in 2025 with its Newcraighall East Development, focuses exclusively on delivering Build-to-Rent (BTR) communities across Scotland, helping to grow this fast-emerging sector.
The team are in the early stages of developing their proposals, with input from their stakeholders and local community, ahead of submitting their Planning Application.
The development will include a mix of affordable and private rental units, and it is anticipated that it will comprise approximately 212 units, including 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom flats; 2- and 3-bedroom colony flats, and 4/5-bedroom townhouses; along with private garden areas, external amenity space and green space, dedicated bicycle storage, refuse storage and car parking.
Cullross Living will hold two community consultation events in January and February 2026 to help shape the design proposal ahead of the formal planning application, which is expected to be submitted in May/June 2026.
The initial public event will be held on 29th January, with a second follow-up public event held on 18th February 2026.
Both events will take place between 2 pm and 6 pm and will be held in Heart of Newhaven, 4-6 Main Street, Newhaven, Edinburgh, EH6 4HY, Scotland, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the proposed site.
Members of the project team will be on hand at the event to answer questions, with exhibition boards to view and feedback forms available.
A project website has been launched, www.western-harbour.com, and project exhibition boards will be uploaded at 9 am on the day of the first consultation event. Feedback will be open until March 16th.
