The renewable energy company that is considering plans for a wind farm in Upper Nithsdale is holding a public information session to introduce the company prior to the beginning of a formal planning application for their Rowancraig Wind Farm project just south of Sanquhar.
The event by Koehler Renewable Energy will allow people to meet the team and make suggestions about how Rowancraig can maximise social and economic benefits for the local area.
The event will be held in the Nithsdale Hotel, 1 High Street, DG4 6DJ, on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 from 3pm to 7pm.
Koehler Renewable Energy differs from other renewable energy companies as they’re a family run business. Accordingly, the company’s principles revolve around the local community through open discussions.
The Rowancraig Wind Farm would be located approximately 2.4 miles West of Sanquhar with early studies suggesting seven turbines with a maximum tip height of 180m, although the company emphasise that plans are still at a very early stage and open to change.
