Background
Queensberry Properties is a joint venture between Cruden Homes (East) and Buccleuch Property. This combines the land and property expertise of Buccleuch with Cruden’s extensive experience in bespoke house building.

Orbit Communications was approached to present ideas for a website for Queensberry’s latest stylish development at Bonnington Mill in Edinburgh. One of the key objective set was to develop a search and interactive facility that allowed individual properties to be viewed with ease, segmented by price, number of bedrooms and desired block. The website also had to be responsive to work on a range of devices.

Approach 
After a successful tendering process we built a bespoke website with custom features. This included an interactive property search for the 36 apartments, covering 16 apartment types, using the latest user-centred-design methodology.

We built the site mobile first with a supporting desktop site to suit the modern target market of young professionals who were more likely to be viewing this on their commute.

Outcome
The end result was a bespoke website with a custom interactive search. This had the user experience as the core focus of the build.

In the first two weeks prior to the official launch of the development there was a surge in website traffic with 1,396 unique site views which resulted in a remarkable 37.2% bounce rate (users who leave the website without any interaction). From this there was 74 qualified sales enquiries from the website’s online customer interest form.
