Background
Envipco is a leading U.S. headquartered reverse vending machine manufacturer. These are machines that accept cans and bottles and return money to the user. They are a means to encourage recycling and are set to be introduced into Scotland as part of a proposed deposit return scheme.

Envipco felt that their brand identity needed updating just before their new decals (decorative stickers) were created for each of their reverse vending machines. The brand Identity would be a key element of their promotional activity and would also feature heavily in the new Edinburgh showroom and on business cards, signage and sales collateral.

Approach
The old brand identity lacked any modernity and did not truly reflect the business. The design team at Orbit Communications improved the two elements that make up the logo, the ‘mark’ and the ‘typestyle’.

The previous mark used a vibrant colour which was changed to a forest green that better reflected the environmental nature of their business. The juxtaposition of the typestyle and mark was also improved, and the typeface replaced with a modern typeface and colour palette that matched the colour of their reverse vending machines.

Outcome
Following the brand refresh Envipco have implemented new decals for their reverse vending machines, signage, sales collateral. They have also updated their social media channels, new website and new showroom in Edinburgh using this new branding.
